Bending Branches of Osceola WI, USA announced today that they have completed the purchase of Aqua-Bound Technology Ltd, Surrey, BC, Canada. Manufacturing, sales and customer service will be moved to the Osceola WI location in an orderly manner between January and July 2009.
By acquiring Aqua-Bound, Bending Branches positions itself as a leading privately held paddle manufacturer. According to Ed Vater, President of Bending Branches, “We are extremely excited and proud to acquire a company that matches our commitment to provide both quality products and service.”
Joe Matuska has agreed to stay on with Bending Branches ensuring a smooth transition and then concentrating on product development. “Bringing together two companies with a similar vision and deep-rooted passion for paddling is a big win for the entire industry,” stated Joe Matuska, General Manager of Aqua-Bound. “This is a good opportunity for me, once we have completed a successful move; it allows me to concentrate on product testing in remote exotic locations.”
